My daughter has a good quality (but mass produced) coffee table made of oak. As with all families the kids have left glasses and spilt drinks on the table which has left the inevitable unsightly water marks.
I am proposing to sand the surface down using a range of grits and then re-seal the surface. Given that there are still small children in the house and accidents will happen, what is the best finish for the table, to give a long lasting, and easily maintained surface?
