finish for cocobolo

Am constructing a cocobolo/maple box and need some help with the finish (in fact, more than some help, more like total help!)

Anybody got any suggestions?

Hi Miff,

For the Maple I'm partial to blonde shellac. Sometimes I have used a thinned analine dye if there is nice figure to help it pop-out.

For the cocobolo, you can use about anything, but there are issues to consider. I'm partial to hand-rubbed oil and wax...but check this source for alternatives:
