Back in October this year a made a box with a pullout drawer and a desktop box.
With the cold weather around I returned to the box and thinking now about giving it a finish. The bottom of the box has a beading which I made on the router table and fixed to the ply base of this box with PVA glue and two brass panel pins to each side. I had punched in the nails at the time and one day I intended to purchase one of those colour mix fillers. However this week I cut some plugs freehand with a stanley knife (matchsticks) then put a spot of glue on the front end and tapped them into the pin holes, cut off the waste when the glue had dried, a bit of sanding, and has my old grandmother would say " A blind man would be pleased to see it".
