My local Festool dealer has an ex-dem ETS150/5 for £200, on which he'll give a 1 year warranty.
Does the panel think this is a good deal (they're £250 new with 3 year warranty) given that it's not for professional use?
I just can't make my mind up as to whether or not it is a good and need someone to point out something I've not thought of yet...

Pete

PS. He says he sells 3 ETS 150/5's for each Metabo Duo he sells.

Be careful, the warranty is not down to the discretion of the distributor. Most ex demo machines sold off by manufacturers come with the standard warranty, and only the manufacturer have the last say.

I bought a Duplex sander thingy and a CT44 ex-demo, and they were both 50%+ off.

For £50 saving I'd want more than a year's warranty.

If it goes in 14 months, you'll have to pay more than that to get it fixed. If he sells that many Fes sanders then he should have had little trouble shifting this I would have thought.

Cheers

Tim
