Got one cheap off the bay. Clearly had heavy site use. Depth stop and micro adjuster rusted solid.

Some wd40, brass brush, metal guard, rust restore, protec wax and a complete strip down later I have a new favorite router.

The soft take off, low noise and depth adjustment are completely awesome.

Despite history the motor is solid and true and with the track attachment it's freaky good.

Yet again quality shines through even on a beat up old tool and I like festool more with each tool. Definitely worth the extra and with a few lucky bay purchases as cheap as anything else.

Anyone got an mft for sale?

Have you seen the recent threads on buying a CNC'd top and fixing to a folding work table. It is not the complete replacement, but with the parf dogs seems to be a budgetary alternative.

Heh, I was kind of joking about the slippery slope... next up will be a festool jigsaw i think.
