Face Frames - MR MDF or Solid Wood ?

Hello guys

For example in a dresser / hutch or an alcove unit planned to be made from mdf and painted is it best to use MR MDF or solid wood for face frames?

I would be concerned about the MDF durability and holding power for doors.

I use poplar, nice and stable. Buy good quality. I like wide boards, 9 and wider.
