I've bought a new Trend 125 x 60 x 30b rebating steel block, £96 inc post :)
I want to get some extra rebating knives I see some described as being 60 x 12 x 1.5, I'm assuming all 60mm cut knives are 60 x 12 x 1.5 dimensions? The Trend Ebay listing didn't give any details nor can I find any info on the Trend site. I was also wondering about the little square corner spur scoring cutters. I see a listing for these, 14 X 14 X 2 they look the right size but then again I can't be sure, if they come in different sizes?
Cheers.

You won't need extra knives if you never use it [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND COLD SWEAT] if it comes with blades they'll last forever if you're only using it once in a blue moon [WINKING FACE]

I think it's wise to recommend not buying any more stuff for the spindle. At the moment you're just buying everything you can think of, without knowing if you'll ever be brave enough to use it. In your situation I'd have used it straight after you did the spindle course, while it was still fresh in your mind. If you're serious about making your own windows.....or using the machine at all, you'll have to turn it on. All these questions you keep asking, won't make the windows magically appear- and there getting tiring now, to be perfectly honest.

Yes you are correct:

standard TCT tips are 60 x 12 x 1.5

standard square scribes are 14 x 14 x 2

There are other sizes available but those above are pretty standard for a rebate block and there aren't really any variations close to that size.

Also you can buy any tips not just the trend ones, usually cheapest to buy a box of 10.

You wont need them very soon though! -1 set of tips would probably make a house load of windows given that each knife has 2 edges and each scribe has 4 corners!

You can set up the power feed with out a cutter block in the machine and feed some material through until you are happy with it feeding nicely, then machine some rebates in some softwood using your new block - a rebate block is a good block to start machining with the spindle moulder.
