I did mention it in my build thread, but can anyone recommend a good exterior caulk? I want something that is squirtable from a gun, can be knifed smooth and then painted. Preferably a product that is readily available from Screwfix or B&Q.

Any recs?

Sovereign silacry is an exterior overpaintable caulk but takes ages to dry.

The ultimate is a joint sealer from sikens/teknos etc called v groove sealer. Local decorating centre 'may' have this if they sell sikkens products! Its on another level for sealing and painting over.

Geocell painters mate is about the best I have used. Not too runny and over paintable in an hour. Doesn't seem to shrink as much as the cheaper 'no nonsense' type stuff does either, which is the major problem with caulk - especially in anything over a couple of mm wide. It is available from screwfix.
