EXCALIBUR SCROLLSAWS RE_BRANDED

I found out a few moments ago that the Excalibur's are all being re-branded as 'Axminster Excalibur Trade' and there are no original ones now available so I am told.

Pity as I today sold my scrollsaw and was going to Axminster to get an Excalibur.

The new branded ones will be available 3rd Week of February a little lower in cost.

This is the first I've heard of this.
I would imagine that the "Axminster Excalibur Trade" brand would be for the UK market only as Axminster are the UK importers for Excalibur scroll saws. The one you had a go on at my shop is branded Excalibur by General International but painted white for the European market, the American ones are green with some being the black "Anniversary" models, 50 years I think. They were originally made in Canada but all are now made in Taiwan so I think the quality should be the same. I can't imagine that General International would ever let the chinese do a copy of an Excalibur scroll saw.
I would be interested to go over to Nuneaton and have a look at them when they come in.
