It only took 10 mins to make with the help of my dad

he wouldn't let me go up the ladder to fix it to the wall

if you haven't guessed already it is a summer roost for these beauties

At the moment they spend the summer days behind our south facing shutters but can easily be disturbed. I think it is a little late for the bats to use them this year but hopefully next.

Excellent We have pipistrelle bats in the area - put a box up on the workshop a couple of years ago but they do not seem to have found it yet.

I made a bat detector which is fun following them when they dive down into the darkness.
