As I am not the greatest with electrickery, I thought maybe someone here might be able to help. My table saw, lost power and now fails to even twitch when turned on. It's not the power, it is the machine. Is there an overload switch that I can't see? It's as though the power wants to get through, then shuts off. It was working earlier but not now, suggestions please!!

Describe "wants to get through".
Is there clicks, hums, sparks

have you replaced the fuse in the plug?
Is the mains wire free of cuts?
Is the mains wire squashed flat under an edge?

We need details.

I'll bet 1/2 pint of best that the brushes have worn down too short. Consistent with a progressive failure trend that eventually just won't go.
