Hello Gents,

I found 2 of these blue beetles mooching about my drying wood in my workshop - is this bad news?

Thanks Harbo but Ladybird larva are matt black & orange & do not have wings, which also do a funky defensive move when disturbed- this seems to be an adult beetle with blue wing casing that just wonders about a bit.

I've a sinking feeling about this..

On gardeners world last week or the week before they were discussing blue, and green beetles which are becoming common on a certain plant, though for the life of me I can't remember which plant it was. The programme might be on the Iplayer still. But they looked a lot like those.
How big are they?

Death Watch Beatle.

That is one of 10 suspects I've checked online & crossed off as not matching in looks.

DWB looks a bit like an acorn with legs..if you are on drugs & 1/2 blind..

:) Sorry, I was refering to Macca, actually, not your beetle. :)

..I used to be quick witted y'know..you'll have to take my word on that I guess..
