Hi all,

Thought it was time to put some work on the site and get some feedback. I have been watching everybody else put there wip photo's on and can only hope to get to the standards of you lot. I am currently building two end tables out of White Ash and Black Walnut. size is going to be 600 x 330 x 500 high and i am trying to keep the grain going across the tables so at times they can be put together. The wood was destined to be flooring but was deemed not good enough so I think I got a good deal.

one top being glued up.

I have mortised the legs but have no pictures at the moment, with luck will start on the Aprons this weekend and up date with pics next week.

Seeing the japanese stool the other week made me add the Walnut.

Hope you like it so far.

Tryed to edit it to get photo,s on page but dont seem to be able to get the Img bit to work.

Cheers Neil

Neil,
Congrats on posting. Your table is looking good already - I look forward to seeing the finished article. Any ideas for walnut accents in the legs?

Looking good, Neil. I love WIP shots. =D>

I was just about to say "Adam's going to like this one"...

Cheers, Alf

Thanks Neil - nice photos.

I like these darker wood inserts - relatively straight forward to do but very effective.

Thanks for the comments.

Chris
I have been thinking about using walnut pegs in the tenons but no other on the legs or aprons. I might revise that and insert a stripe into the aprons say 1/4" wide. will have to see how it goes and if I have enough left for the job.

Alf
your a bad influence  , this is my first effort at plaining and thicknessing by hand, Looks like the slope is taking effect as I have enjoyed it so far  .

Cheers Neil
