Can anyone explain this, I have been using Incredimail 2 for some time now and yesterday it stopped sending and receiving mail, I looked in the help file and it said try going in to TOOLs and selecting authorize and it asked me for my email and password.
All was fine so I told it to check for mail.
Now the funny bit.
I got 721 emails.
They were all old ones and when it was working I know I deleted them all.
It gets worse.
I deleted 720 emails and then it stopped sending and receiving again.
Second time around, the same thing.
I have deleted Incredimail now and am using my Hotmail.

Reg..............I have bad news for you. I have just deleted a 10 year old Hotmail account because of similar problems. Freezing, re-producing deleted mails, etc etc. It has got steadily worse, now in their wisdom they have re-named it Outlook and changed the format completely (why??). It has become even worse. I know I am not alone with this. I have been using Gmail for work for some time and have now started a separate account for domestic stuff. I can recommend Gmail having used it for a couple of years.

good luck, Graham.

I have been using hotmail for years, but hate this outlook thingy. I have several disposable gmail accounts and may well go over to gmail properly.

One of the annoyances I've come across with some previous free email offerings is that when deleted they don't actually delete but move thme to a 'trash' folder. I then have to actually etake the extra step of emptying the 'trash'

Caretaker, did you get this sorted? It's happening to a friends Incredimail as well. Non stop repeated spam. Delete them, but they just come back??

Sounds like these emails aren't being deleted after download - is there a setting in incredimail that allows you to leave mail on the server for a period of time

If you know the commands, you can telnet into your mailbox and delete them without using an email client - I often use this method to remove corrupt email that stops mail flow

Regards

Denis
