Does anyone know whether any model of this saw had a switch with a safety lock on it? It's a super little saw for breaking down sheet materials or other light cutting jobs, but it only has a simple push on/release off switch. So accidental switch-on is always a worrying possibility.
Looking at the Miles Tools and similar websites suggests that even the Mark 6 version still had the simple switch. One possibility is that when they got re-badged as deWalt, a different switch was fitted? Or did de Walt not continue this machine?

Can't think that any Elu's had what you're after - some had a LOCK-ON button (needed if used inverted in a bench). You learn your tools and discipline yourself to use them safely - its an attitude of mind.
