electronic digital sliding calliper

Received a mail order shot this morning from Westfalia and they are showing an electronic digital sliding calliper described as made of extra strong carbon fibre. 0-150mm @ £8.49.

Anyone had one of this type and is it worth buying?

devonwoody I've not heard of those particular ones but I have seen the glass filled calipers before, they seem to be good and look strong. But like I say i have no experience of them, mine is made of steel.

I bought one from Aldi a few month ago ,cost £9.99 and sounds like the one your talking about. Its absolutely fine, works well, accurate enough for what I need and seems well made. At a tenner, couldnt go wrong.
