Karl,

No guarantee that this is will work, all done at your only risk etc, but here are my thoughts.

Get some spade push on connectors and then

Brown (live) wire to 1
Blue (neutral) wire to 2

At this point I would try it, I can think of a number of outcomes

1. Loud bang, blown fuse, need for clean underwear, not likely but possible.
2. Nothing at all happens
3. Machine runs as required
4. Machine only runs while green button it held in

If you get 1 or 2 you’re on your own, sorry.

Number 3 you’re home and dry.\:D/

Number 4, unplug it and then try linking 2 to 3, hopefully that will supply the holding coil on the no volt release switch. So try it again and it should work OK.

If it all works OK let us know and no I cannot recommend a laundry service. 8-[

Thats a bit of a shame  but we did try  or as they say at work I am very trying. #-o

I hope the mystery machine was still good value after buy a new switch. :?
