I have an Electrabeckum site table saw with a 315mm blade . The maximum width it can rip is about 26cm , I need to add a guide that will allow cuts up to about 60cm . Looked at the homemade 'Biesemeyer' fence thread , its good but probably too much metalwork for me to attempt . I am thinking of bolting on 1 inch square section tube on each end of the bench and fitting a flat cross peice with clamping wing bolts that can slide on the tube . Has anyone done something similar already , a photo would be great . I am a complete beginner with woodwork and discovered the hard way that a guide is needed to cut straight . Have done a search but not come up with anything as simple as what I am planning to do but I would think someone must have done it already ?
