Does anyone have any experience of building with "ecodeck" the kind of material that's made out of recycled plastic. I may have a batch of planters coming my way to build out of this. Can it be machined - cut, drilled, planed etc. - in exactly the same way as wood? What about fastenings, joints and adhesive? I'd be interested to hear from anyone that has some experience of using it.

Yes, been in touch with them now and they're sending me some free samples. It's 55% wood fibre and 45% recycled polymer, has a 25 year life and doesn't rot, so just the thing for building planters. The price, however, is just over double that of standard softwood decking, which is readily available locally so I will not have shipping costs with that. It'll be interesting to see if the end customer likes the stuff ... and the higher price! ... Don't think I'll be routing it, thankfully!
