Evening all,
On the list for this summer is replacing all the fencing and gates at the property I have bought as they are all neglected and thoroughly rotten. I've just made a start on the fencing, however in the high winds today my driveway gate has well and truly given up the ghost - some pieces of scrap and a load of screws have given it a temporary stay of execution, but the time has come for it to shuffle off this mortal coil.
Ultimately I'd like to make some nice hardwood gates, but right now the priority is speed, and since it's a temporary solution, cheap!
My intent is to get some treated 2x4 and treated T&G cladding and knock up two ledge and brace gates (it's 7ft wide by 6ft high) - any other suggestions on a quick and robust gate solution?
Cheers.
