Hi,

I have a DW1150 planer/thicknesser that I have only used a few times. I was flattening a piece of apple wood yesterday when it caught and got thrown out of the garage door. I have no idea what caused it, but a substantial piece of the infeed table was smashed off and the edge is now distorted. I am looking for a supplier who has a spare part or somebody with a faulty machine that I can remove the table from. Any advice greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Looks and sounds like a too short of a piece of wood was fed over the cutterblock which caused it to dive into the cutters and smash a nice chunk out of your table.

You are fortunate that you don't have a piece of table sticking out of your head.

As far as parts go you're probably just better off getting a new machine, I doubt there any spare beds kicking about.
