I need to make or buy a small extractor fan for pen and general small woodturnig I have a small electric motor which is very quite, which is essential would appreiciate any info thanks jonesbones

I had a homemade extractor I acquired when I bought a kitty table saw, it was basically a barrel with a wooden lid with a inverted motor set in it. A plastic flower pot as the motor cover and a vacuum cleaner bag over the motor to protect it, and a lights switch to turn on/off
Hose went in a hole cut in the wooden lid
Very basic but worked well just very noisy and bulky

The lid was not clamped down it was quite heavy so it's own weight was enough
