Chris, it is called "Praying Hands" i belive?

Before she retired my mum used to be a minister and in both her church and office she had a ornament of this very thing.

I have just showed your carving to her and she is as knocked out as the rest of us.

What more can i say that hasn't already been said. Well done mate.

Regards

Woody

Woody,
Many thanks, high praise indeed from someone who has seen so much of it! You are quite right, it seems to be called "The Praying Hands". Chris Pye made his for a convent at the request of the Mother Superior.

Chris

I must say that I rather like your plasticine mock-up too. The roughness of the moulding with no thought for attempting to emulate the smooth contours of the skin gives it an air of one has lived a life of hard manual labour and who is now praying to their god.
