Has anyone built a homemade drum sander? any tips? or plans

This book has plans http://tinyurl.com/bl7xb However, it requires you to push stock through rather than being power driven - reckon it's very tiring!

have a look at the u-beaut woodworking forum from aussie, there has been one or two made here and a bit of info may be gained.
i took the easy way out and bought one!
