Does anyone have an Axminster AWDS12H Disc Sander ?

If so how flat is the disc plate? I bought one from another maker but which looks remarkably similar to this Axminster one but the actual disc was dished by 1mm...so that the disc at the centre was 1mm back relative to the circumference.

Just wondered if it was a one off or usual Chinese QC on these lower priced versions.

I bought a Charnwood sander that was for sale on here ,it's flat to about 135m/m from the outside edge then dips in slightly at the center

Interesting..that Charnwood looks to be of the same breed. Maybe there is a wide variation in them.

Hi Roger
We have the Axi in the workshop and the disc is flat and for the money pretty good value, the cast table did need a little filing to remove sharp edges and disc change over is a bit involved but otherwise its ok.
