Hello Steve, it's a very nice saw. However as it looks to be quite a late Disston I'm not sure it is as sought after as a nice early example. I like it though, you plan on using it?
 
That was one of the last saws out of "Disston Precision Incorporated" previously known as "R.A.F. Industries of Philadelphia".

Has nothing in common with a "real" Disston accept the name. In a few years it may become valuable if still in the box.

As far as a user goes, it's great! Tapered blade, good steel, not induction hardened so it can be sharpened, couldn't get a better saw for the price.
 
I've got one Steve. Great saw, horrible handle IMO.

I don't know who a handle that big is for. I wouldn't like to meet them; shaking hands might be dangerous.
