Diningroom table plans

Hi All

I'd like to make myself a diningroom table - possibly out of oak or some other hardwood. Solid top, with an extending leaf.

Can anybody recommend a good book on diningroom tables, and/or a good resource for diningroom table plans/ideas.

Hi Paul,

You could have a look at Dining Tables by Kim Graves. Includes 9 plans, including extending rectangular table. You could also take a look at Tables and Chairs (Best of Fine Woodworking) and of course Joyce's Technique of Furntiture Making includes lots of good stuff about construction techniques for tables.

The books should all be available through Amazon.
