Morning Forum,

i am looking to purchase my first radial arm saw and have found a Dewalt DW 320 local to me.

could anyone advise me if this is a a decent saw, and kindly tell me the differences between a DW 1251 and this one.
i don't want to be buying the wrong saw as money is tight and i am just starting off in the world of wood working which i live by the way.

thank you

When I bought my 1251 years ago I also had a copy of the Dewalt Powershop Handbook included that specifically covers the 125 and 320.
I think the 1251 is a slightly later variant of the 125 and the book is useful for both.

Have a look at my scan of the Handbook http://www.drosera.f2s.com/RAS/DeWalt_P ... ndbook.pdf

The 320 should be ok instead of a 1251

Just make sure you choose the right blade for it, When I bought mine the fence was in a shattered mess! ! ? ?
Two much hook /rake on the tooth . I still have it but am very very careful
It I think should have a negative rake for cross cutting.
I have three RAS's in the past - great little saws USE WITH CARE
