I have read both good and bad reviews on this saw. Its certainly got good specs in terms of capacity, (345 x 74 at 90/90) but there seems to be questions about build quality.
Anyone have one of these? Opinions please!
The footprint of the DW718 is much less than my DW720 RAS and thinking about changing to gain workshop space.

Hi there,

If it's any use, I have the DW712 sliding mitre saw and have owned it for about 2 years. My considered opinion is it is very well put together and performs well. The folding stand - aluminium extrusion (unsure of part number) is also very handy.

I can only echo that the build quality on the DW712 is superb, all in all an excellent machine. Can't see the 718 being very different.
