The use of acrylic caulk on coving reminded me of a trick a painter in the US gave me last month.

When painting a room, don't use pure white on the ceiling as it makes the room feel cold. Instead, take your gallon of white and a tablespoon of the wall colour. It still seems to be white, but the room gets a nice integrated and warm feeling.

Before you ask, he didn't tell me what to do if the walls were white....

If I have a light colour on the walls I always like to have the same on the deiling, it works very well
