Hope this might be o.k to post this here- if not nuke it into oblivion mods ;)
I've recently downloaded the Pinterest app and keep stumbling across decent woodworking tips. I thought it might be good to share what you've found. A quick pic perhaps and a link.
This what I've recently thought was clever.

Edit - perhaps not such a good idea. Looks like you need to register just to view it.

Nice tip.

Pinterest is a brilliant idea.
I've been using it for a while now to collect woodworking inspiration and tips https://uk.pinterest.com/paul8863/

The only thing that puzzles me is how it's funded. It's free to join and use, but there's no advertising that I've ever come across.

Not sure how it's funded either but it does seem an amazing thing. I like your automata folder !!!!
I'm still pretty new so I'm not sure how everything works. Do you know if it's possible to add your own projects somehow ? Like maybe add a picture than have the read it part link to the forum- that'd be cool

Yes, you can add photos from your own device to create new pins. Click the + icon (bottom right on my screen) then you get the option to 'upload a pin' then choose a file from your device. I think it will only upload web friendly formats though eg JPG & GIF rather than anything more unusual.

Pintrest is worth a lot of money despite not bringing in any revenue yet. I believe their plan is to combine the trend for curating inspiration boards with new technology which identifies products in each image and makes them clickable so you can be redirected to a partner site that sells it.
