A while ago I was reading the thread here about the cheapo Poundland chisel and thought it would be useful to have a couple for paint scraping etc, however this morning I happened to be in a B&M store and thought I would see if they had any cheap ones To my surprise I found several sizes reduced to 50pence each at first I thought it must be a mistake so I asked a worker there and he said they were selling off some stuff They had several sizes of chisel and I they look quite decent to me the chisel is supplied in a strong protective case with a belt hook and even has a small sharpening stone on the back. Here is a picture.

Before people come and say that these cheap chisels are no good, the Everbuild ones are really heavy quality and not the thin skimpy Poundland ones, you would need a very large hammer to bend these!

I also bought several other items inc

A lump hammer 50pence
Claw hammer 50pence
Everbuild mitre pen kit 50pence
50metre reels of quality unibond 2" duct tape £1
5 piece trowel set 50pence
Aviation tin snips 50pence
several electrical switches and sockets at 10pence each

Even the assistant thought the prices were silly and explained that they were changing suppliers or something so were told to sell the stuff off!

Most of the tools were from the Everbuild brand called Builders brand and look quite decent especially at the these prices.

If you have a b & M near you it might be worth a look but I imagine most of it will be sold out quickly.

I hope I won't get in trouble with the mods for naming the store only I know they are not keen on naming offers on here.

No, not ignoring you, just p1ssed off at not knowing what a B&M is, let alone not being close to one. :)

Sorry I didn't want to say to much about the company, I was dubious of even mentioning it TBH as we recently got told of in the Scrollsaw forum about promoting items. I only posted as I though others might have been near a store and benefited from some dirt cheap items, with hindsight I probably should not have posted it here at all and put the items on Hotdeals instead, but I thought that had I done that no one here would have got anything as once it's on there the vultures buy up the lot! :)

I think you've been quite correct in posting it here.
Whilst I can just see why some people frown on posting about active eBay auctions, posting details of other good retail deals that might interest others here is what forums like this should be about.
Leave the management of posting to the moderators who should act if anyone starts to use the forum for unauthorised or unacceptable advertising.

A supplier's name should be enough to help others that can be bothered to make a rudimentary search on Google.
