De Walt buy-out Porter Cable & Delta

I recently received a news update from an American website that declared that "De Walt buy-out Porter Cable & Delta". The follow-up article then went on to promote the "synergy" that was supposed to be generated by this Black & Decker buy-out.
I have a great deal of respect for the brands involved but wonder if this is really a good thing, and how it might effect woodworkers in the UK (more Porter Cable & Delta products in Blighty perhaps?). :?

All of my power tools are Dewalt, and all do the job expected of them to a good standard. My only complaint is with the Jigsaw blade retention system whic is poorly designed, but that has been modified in the latest model.
