I'm not 100% certain but I think it's only for the International Auctions that all the lots are accessible for on-line bids through http://www.the-saleroom.com. I can't see anything on the saleroom site about Friday's sale.

It's too late to say so for this one, but for all their sales it is possible to get a catalogue posted to you and put in an absentee bid - but this is risky as you would be going off a very brief description. (The international sale catalogues are fully illustrated.)

If you can, it's far better to go there in person -

- you can see and handle a mountain of stuff
- there are some excellent dealers with stands in the same hall, ready to take your cash
- you can meet like-minded nutters!

When I went there last time I did meet someone who had driven up from Brighton and bought a carfull of stuff - are you sure you weren't there Toby?

I'm definitely a bit nutty and would leave with a van full of stuff. I just want an infill panel plane. A Norris A1 will be fine
