Damaged the tip on my Jet revolving live centre - see photos. Is this repairable (aluminium) or best to change for a new one (unsure where I would buy a new one)?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Daryl

I've tidied up a centre as Paul suggests. You only need to restore the point so only the end few mm needs attention. If you don't want to do that maybe you could mount it on some threaded bar or a bolt with the head cut off, put it in an electric drill and run it against some sort of abrasive.

For a replacement, I assume Jet has a morse taper tailstock, MT is a universal standard, probably #2 MT. If that is the case then a search for a #2 MT live centre will find you plenty of options.
