The Dakota bits from Rutlands - they're very tempting in terms of price & the Rutlands sales-talk is pursuasive. Has anyone any opinion of them?

Dakota is Rutlands own brand. I'd question whether or not they are Chinese (like so much of the Dakota brand stuff) - then compare them to a respected seller of router bits who's products are proven but who's prices are MUCH lower than Trend - Wealden Tools http://www.wealdentool.net/index.html

Hi Chips

I would wholeheartedly endorse Scrit's recommendation of Wealden.

Their service is excellent as well. The last time I ordered was at about 4pm and the cutters arrived by first class post the next day.

Cheers

Hi Chips,

I have never used the Dakota cutters, but can recommend the Perform ones from Axminster. I have a growing collection of them and am very pleased withe the results produced.
