Is there a tool for cutting polystyrene sheet 50mm which produces a good edge and minimal clean up. A hot wire would seem to fit the bill but where to get one or how to make ,however you may have better suggestions.
Incidently its to insulate the flat roof in the work shop 16" ctrs. 3x2

Hi OLD,

In the past I have used a craft knife with a new blade fully extended out, I then proceeded to cut the polystyrene slowly and carefully.

A bread knife is what I use. As John suggests, I think a serrated blade is the way to go... Unless you get the hot wire thing working, of course!

Cut across the width of the sheet with a sharp knife. That way, if it snaps, you have a good edge most of the way through.
