It is an excellent piece of software. It can be used for both sheet and board material, although for the latter, grain matching is often an over-riding consideration that makes it less useful in this situation.
 
I cut lots of sheet material, and I tried it. I don't use it anymore because I know that it doesn't matter too much how I cut a sheet (barring obvious silly stuff) because I will eventually use up all the offcuts. Sometimes I find it better to think in terms of how big an offcut will be left after cutting out any particular piece. Usually, the bigger the offcut the more useful it is, so I often find myself going into a new sheet even though the part sheet I am already cutting is big enough to get out the piece I want but which if I did, the offcut would be to small) if you see what I mean
