Hi Everyone. I would like some advice on a cross cut mitre saw. I have a friend who lives some 200 miles away and I went up last year and gave her a hand to sort her workshop out. I took lots of things for her including a cheap mitre saw I had but never really used but she is scared stiff of it because of the noise the brush motor makes.
I have just bought a Dewalt 780 and its very quiet in comparission. I am going back up in a few weeks and I would like to treat her to a new saw but cannot run to a Dewalt 780. I was wondering if any of you could suggest something that is quite and ideally will cross cut round about 10 inches. Its main use will be cutting 18mm thick hardwood for scroll sawing blanks. Many thanks in advance.
