I have a week off in September, I've discovered that Yandles has a show on the first weekend, Cressing has the European Woodworking show on the second.
It's a fair trek for just a show but with the promise of a couple of days away I can go to one....or the other. But which?
Any tips on how they compare?

Well, without giving a reason, the Cressing website says that this may be the last show.

So it may be your only chance to go to that one?

By coincidence I used Yandles timber calculator last night to compare with my current supplier. One cubic foot of 2 inch sawn European oak came in at £317 ?? Must be something wrong I thought , so priced the same quantity and thickness in Iroko, £167 this time. There is something very wrong I fear.

Yandles is free entry whereas the Cressing one charges an entry fee - if that effects your decision.

Having been to both a few times if it was a choice between either I definitely not miss Cressing, plus as stated it could be the last.

Also a lot easier to get to from our neck of the woods MB.

Thanks chaps. Cressing it is.

Now, where to stay for a couple of nights, Chelmsford or Colchester?
[Or as my spellcheck suggested 'Chessboard or Cholesterol?']

Given the choice, I'd much rather stay in Colchester than Chelmsford ;)
