cracked coving driving me crazy

plaster coving, I can put it up, make it look perfect, but why the bloody hell (no matter what I do) do all the joints crack 3-4 months later.

I know it must be because of expansion or maybe slight movement in the ceiling/walls. How do the pros solve this?

Decorators flexible caulk?

Acrylic caulk?

so at corners I should use "caulk" (mastic???) instead of coving adhesive?

Bed abutting ends onto scrim tape - perhaps?

Use the coving adhesive to stick the coving up as per normal. Then use the acrylic caulk to fill the joints. I think....

Kityuser,
You need to mix up a small amount of fairly stiff fine
plaster, wait until it's 50% gone off, then apply.
This is how it was done when i use to fix/make coving.
