I saw this on ebay, I had thought of buying them, but surely this is infringing copyright laws?

I would say it does unless the seller has obtained permission.

It has been around a long time. The DVDs are copies, not originals, of the ones that Taunton sell so neither Taunton, nor the authors of the articles, receive any payment
The real DVD costs considerably more...

Yet the seller has the audacity to state

Please Note: The content of this unique DVD has been collected and compiled over time by rare-book-collections. The content may be saved and printed / read at your leisure but reproduction and sale of this DVD data disc is STRICTLY PROHIBITED!

I'm sorry to hear that, Graham.
Would you buy physical goods knowing that they had been stolen from the rightful owners?

No I wouldn't Steve, never. You're quite right of course. I saw the price and jumped on the buy now button. I've been stolen from in the past just as you have Steve, it's not pleasant. Somehow you don't rcognise this as theft when you see it on ebay. I half imagined that it was a scam anyway and the thing won't work or won't turn up.

Had the post from Mark Numbers appeared before my purchase I would have thought twice or looked more closely, as it happened I was doing the deed whilst he was writing his post. Hope the prison food isn't as bad a s last time.

Yep - morals of a sewer rat. "If I can do it without being caught, it's OK".

So if the goods arrive and turn out to copyright materials illegally sold you'll report it to eBay and PayPal ?

No, would you? I think that would be rather anal.

Yes, I've done that with software in the past.
It's not "anal" it's HONEST.
If you don't do that you're just supporting and paying for copyright theft.
