On the iphone I click on the address bar and then click and hold. A bar comes up with options of which one is copy. I imagine that it is the same on the ipad.

and then how do you paste into another forum url which is not on ipad screen at the time?

Press/click and hold where you want to paste it and the options come up again. Paste is one of them.

A bit of a hijack but a related question.

How do you copy and paste a number on an Iphone (ver 6 os which is the most up to date it will accept.)

The iphone wants to interpret any number as a phone number whereas it was an ISBN number that I wanted to look up elsewhere by pasting into google.

To copy it required a double click in the end but a bit hit and miss if you wanted to get the url of the page, I found it better to use my windows copy and paste.

Thanks again for leading me along the path of the righteous using mac. :x

However I did ask siri what woodwork that chap Marcross has made and displayed at ukworkshop and he knew all about you.
