I need a bit of advice if anyone can help? I have just made a desktop in white Conti board and edged it with wood. The problem is that I used Gaffa tape to secure the wood to the edges until it had set and now I have marks on the white top. Anyone any ideas of how I might remove them without damaging the finish?

White contiboard is quite resistant to most things - think you would be fairly safe with a rag and some acetone (nail polish remover)

Try WD40. It very often dissolves the glues used on adhesive tapes but it will not harm the finish on contiboard. If you are not sure try a test on some scrap first.

You can also try a label remover. Maplins sell it. It will usually remove glue and labels without leaving marks.
