In the latest project (My version of David Savage's Love Chairs IV)

I am at the stage of rounding the legs, I've decided to do this by hand rather than shaper/router as there is less change of messing it up. And I was thinking about a concave spokeshave to help me. I only have the normal flat one and a curved one (Harris)

The legs are at the moment 40mm x 35 mm square , and my question is about if anyone else has used such a spokeshave and what was their thoughts.

Hi Andy
Funnily enough, I'm just finishing off a chair myself. I used the concave shave-it is very handy for getting a leg roundish, quickly.
Only downside is sharpening it-a real pig!
Well worth getting your hands on though, well built and a pleasure to use. I'd get the other two first though if you don't have any shaves.
Hope this helps
Philly :D
