Quite so.

However, design comes into everything. If there is a choice between two equal items of any ilk, I will always go for the one that looks good or feels good in the hand. Tool users usually apply this. The things that form my surroundings are important to me.

I do appreciate that this doesn't apply to everyone and that cost seems to be the main driver for many so they can have at least one of everything. Pile 'em high, sell 'em cheap and all that.

I'd rather have a room with just a high quality rug in it than a room full of junk.
