Compatability

Does anybody have any experience on overcoating Rustin's Plastic Coating?

About two years ago I made a laud, a teardrop shaped acoustic stringed instrument, and finished it with Rusin's Plastic Coating. I wasn't happy with the finish and flattened it all after a lenthy curing time. I have better results using an aerosol lacquer and wonder if there is likely to a compatibilty problem between the two coatings.

Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about the rustins?

Nothing wrong with the product, but a lot wrong with my brushed application. Maybe I should persevere and try further coats of Rustin's, but spraying with an aerosol is easier.
