I've just had a go at adding some colour to furniture wax and like the result.

The only thing i'd like to check is whether anyone knows if it's save with regard to rubbing off onto hands/clothes?

I already tested it myself and nothing comes off, but I suppose I just want to make sure. The wax i'm using is Chestnut 22 which says its beeswax and carnauba. Thanks.

yes I think you'll find it can rub off on clothes. Mylands put a warning of this on their dark wax tins. I think its more to do with wax build up within crevices that doesnt get burnished off well enough..

Thanks. You are right, I gave it a little test, although it does require fairly firm pressure. Oddly nothing comes off on my finger unless I press very hard and push across the surface.

I might try a clear coat on top and see if that helps much.
