Can't get anywhere with that one. I had hoped to have room for a small forge/metal working room when we moved house, but we lost so much money on the last one it was not to be.
I spent some time a few years ago with a blacksmith who made stunning blades, but for one reason and another we lost touch. I would have liked to have worked with him more closely, as his blades were let down by poor handle, and I was into silver work and dichroic glass. He forged blades with all manner of unusual laminations - he did one with chainsaw chains embedded, it was stunning. If anyone ever needed marketing advice, it was him.
I have however permission from the domestic controller to build a forge in the back garden, so long as I design it that it'll double as a barbecue. It won't be until late in the year, though.
