Last year, at about this time, some very nice person on this forum (and I am ashamed to say that I cannot remember who it was) sent me some chives to plant in my herb garden.

They took well, I had a nice harvest and then, of course, they died back.

They are coming up again, beautifully green and strong, and I've already snipped a few.

If the person who sent them reads this, please consider yourself well and truly thanked!

It was me and am glad that they are doing well. I started with one plant in the corner of a flower bed. It grew, flowered and dropped its seeds all over a brick paviour patio. They really did become a nuisance weed.
Strangely, the parent plant died last year. It must have been mourning the lost of one of its offspring.
